This pattern dynamically calculates the rows and stitches based on your inputs into the PDF. In order for the pattern to work correctly, you will need to open the pattern in Chrome when on your computer, and Adobe Reader (free app!) when on your phone.
This pattern is designed for those who understand raglan construction and want complete creative control over their cardigan design. Whether you crochet, Tunisian crochet, or knit, this pattern offers endless customization options, from stitch choices to collar depth to ribbing widths/lengths, allowing you to create a cardigan that reflects your unique vision.
Worked flat from the top down, this pattern includes raglan shaping where the body and sleeves are increased independently, giving you full control over the fit and proportions. With its “Mae to Measure” system, the pattern is fully adjustable to your measurements and preferences. Customize body length, sleeve length, body and sleeve ease, collar depth, and ribbing widths to create exactly the cardigan you’ve been imagining.
This is not a beginner pattern and is best suited for those with experience in garment construction and gauge swatching. The chosen stitch must accommodate independent increases for the body and sleeves. Your creativity determines the final design. Pick simple stitches for an easy make, or challenge yourself with complex patterns.
The pattern provides estimated yarn requirements based on YOUR customizations, so you’ll know exactly how much yarn to buy before you start.

MAE TO MEASURE
Read more here!
A Mae to Measure pattern is an interactive, PDF pattern that calculates the number of stitches, rows, and yardage for a pattern. The benefit of a Mae to Measure pattern is that it makes your pattern size inclusive to virtually any body size (theoretically, it should even work for an infant!) This is done by allowing the user to type in their body’s measurements onto your pattern. Then, in the background, the pattern will calculate all the math within the pattern to fit the person perfectly.
Please share your work with the hashtags #UniversalRaglanCardigan, and #MaeToMeasure, and tag @mae.crochets.

Reviews
I was so surprised and a bit worried by how stripped down the pattern is but the supporting information provided in the file concisely anticipates any confusion. I have long favoured raglan construction because my sewn seams always look disappointing next to my crochet. It made me smile to find my work now actually matches the body measurements - I truly admire your crochet/knitting/maths/
computing combo of skills. I know I will never need another cardigan pattern.
