This pattern dynamically calculates the rows and stitches based on your inputs into the PDF. In order for the pattern to work correctly, you will need to open the pattern in Chrome when on your computer, and Adobe Reader (free app!) when on your phone.
Meet the Ridge Sideways Beanie, a cozy, modern beanie worked sideways for that satisfying ribbed texture and a super customizable fit. This is a Mae to Measure pattern, which means the PDF does the math for you based on the info you type in, so you can make it for virtually any head size using any yarn weight.
The construction is simple but clever: you’ll use short rows to shape the crown, then customize the length so you can wear it fitted, slouchy, or with a fold-over brim (or a deeper fold if you want extra warmth). It’s a great “make one for everyone” pattern! It’s quick to repeat, easy to personalize, and perfect for stash yarn.

MAE TO MEASURE

A Mae to Measure pattern is an interactive, PDF pattern that calculates the number of stitches, rows, and yardage for a pattern. The benefit of a Mae to Measure pattern is that it makes your pattern size inclusive to virtually any body size (theoretically, it should even work for an infant!) This is done by allowing the user to type in their body’s measurements onto your pattern. Then, in the background, the pattern will calculate all the math within the pattern to fit the person perfectly.
